FLORESVILLE ISD: April Students of the Month

Floresville ISD issued the following announcement.

Julia Weaver and Montana Bone are the April Students of the Month. Read more about these outstanding seniors.

April Female Student of the Month

Julia Weaver is the 17-year-old daughter of Kristen and James Weaver.  Her overall GPA is 102.5412.

Julia is active at FHS and in the community.  She has held numerous leadership positions serving as an officer in Student Council, HOPE Committee, and her class.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and Link Crew in which she serves on the Executive Committee.  Additionally, Julia is a member of the Mighty Tiger Band. She is also an active member of the Sacred Heart Church Choir and has played in the percussion of the County Line Community Band for two years.

Julia has received numerous awards at Solo and Ensemble competitions as well as TMEA Region Band.  When she is not busy with school and her many organizations, Julia volunteers her time to assist with the Lion’s Club BBQ dinner, and she works part-time at the Wilson County News as well as HEB.

Julia plans to attend Texas Lutheran University where she intends to pursue a degree in Music Education.  Her top strengths are: Restorative, Includer, Achiever, Consistency, and Adaptability.

April Male Student of the Month  

Montana Bone is the 18-year-old son of Janette Calhoun and Louis Bone.  His overall GPA is 92.1265. 

Montana is an active member of the Mighty Tiger Band in which he plays the alto saxophone. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. Montana is an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 393.

Montana has been recognized for his musical talents, receiving the Outstanding Woodwind Award for band.  He volunteers his time at the Lutheran Church working for their fundraiser Sausage Dinner and he runs the concession stand for the TIFA Games.  Montana works part-time doing various yard work jobs and spends his summers picking watermelons.

Montana plans to attend Northwest Vista College where he intends to pursue a degree in Audio/Visual Productions.  His strengths are: Adaptability, Strategic, Input, Analytical, and Intellection.
