Stockdale ISD issued the following announcement.
Stockdale Elementary Family,
This school year will bring us many new challenges and changes. In anticipation of some of the challenges we are sure to face on the first day of school this year, we would like to offer parents and students an opportunity to practice car line morning drop off. On Tuesday the August the 18th from 7:30-8:00 we will have staff on duty for morning drop off, and would love for parents to come out with their students and see the new traffic pattern and the temperature screening procedures that will happen each morning when you drop your students off at school. If you are unable to come, we plan to videotape parts of the event, to help prepare students and their parents for the new procedures.
On the first day of school, Wednesday, August 19th, we will have Pre-K and Kinder teachers meet students and their parents on the blacktop area. Parents may park and walk pre-k and kinder students through the gate to the courtyard, but they will not be able to enter the building. You are welcome to practice these procedures on Tuesday, August 18th as well.
Below is a link to a photograph marking the new traffic pattern for the car line. If you are walking in Pre-K and Kinder students, please be aware of the car line traffic pattern, and choose your parking accordingly.

We are looking forward to another great school year, and can not wait to see our students in our hallways once again.
