City of La Grange issued the following announcement.
The City of La Grange’s Office of Community Development recently began a pilot program which provides local businesses with individualized assistance in developing a business plan to foster growth and success.
The program has partnered with Brian Marshall, Director of Entrepreneurship for BCL of Texas. In addition to individual meetings with each participant, Marshall has presented two group sessions to the participating businesses; “Hidden Markets for Small Business Growth” and “Fear of Financials”.
As part of the program, participants were also given complimentary tickets to all of the Professional Development Workshops that the City of La Grange’s Office of Community Development hosted during this year. This first group of participants in the program received admission to attend the Social Media Workshop in July along with the Customer Service Workshops in September.
Based on the experiences of the participating business owners with this pilot program, the City of La Grange’s Office of Community Development will be launching the next group of business owners into the program after the beginning of the next fiscal year in October.
