East Bernard High School issued the following announcement.
CONGRATULATIONS EMMA AND COLBY!
Emma Alexander was selected to the 2020 TGCA 3A All-State team for her performances during the 2020 Cross Country season. Emma was a top 5 medalist in every meet she competed in. She was the District Champion, a Regional Medalist placing 5th, as well as a state qualifier for the 3rd year in a row. Emma was also selected to the TGCA 1A - 4A All-Star team. She was one of 17 girls selected from all of the 1A - 4A classifications in the state of Texas. She will be recognized for her achievements at the TGCA Clinic in July.
Colby Kurtz earned 2nd Team All-State from the CCCAT for his performance at the state meet as well as All-Region for his 5th place finish at the Regional Cross Country Meet.
