San Antonio-New Braunfels metro lag behind Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford in 2019

The San Antonio-New Braunfels metro area exported $11.7 billion in 2019, less than exports from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford in 2019, according to the International Trade Administration.

A study from the Brookings Institute found competition between areas within the United States increases exports, which in turn generates stronger sales and more jobs for American workers.

The San Antonio-New Braunfels metro area consists of eight counties.

The Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford metro area comprises three counties exporting $11.8 billion in 2019.

The metro area with the most exports was Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land with $129.7 billion exported.
