Enrollment at Nordheim ISD schools increased by 3.5% compared to previous school year

There were 149 students enrolled in Nordheim ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 55.7% of them were girls, and 44.3% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 50.3% of the Nordheim ISD total enrollment.

Nordheim ISD roughly covers schools within DeWitt County with its main office in Nordheim.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
