6.3% of DeWitt County residents considered unemployed in 2021

DeWitt County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 496 people out of the 19,834 living in DeWitt County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in DeWitt County has decreased compared to the 6.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in DeWitt County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 7,418 people who had a job during that time, 14 were employed in the Armed Forces and 7,404 belonged to the civilian labor force.
