WHARTON COUNTY JUNIOR COLLEGE: Pre-allied health scholarships available at WCJC

Wharton County Junior College issued the following announcement on June 30

Wharton County Junior College in partnership with the M.G. and Lillie A. Johnson Foundation is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for new students enrolling at WCJC for the 2020 Fall Semester. 

Students enrolling at WCJC for the first time for Fall 2020 and are a resident of Aransas, Bee, Calhoun, Colorado, Dewitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda, Refugio, Victoria, Waller and Wharton counties – as well as those from the Needville Independent School District – are invited to apply for a WCJC/Johnson Foundation Scholarship. 

Applicants must also have a declared major pathway in an Allied Health or Pre-Allied Health field – including LVN, ADN, LVN to ADN Transition, Pre-Dental Hygiene, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Radiology – Emergency Medical Services, Health Information Technology or Human Services.

Scholarships are in the amount of $2,000 and will be awarded in two installments: $1,000 for the 2020 Fall Semester and $1,000 for the 2021 Spring Semester. Applications are available on the WCJC website by clicking here: Johnson Foundation Scholarships.
